Sebastopol World Friends would like to express our sincere gratitude to the outpouring of support from the community since the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine. From inquiries about how to help to simple expressions of sympathy and compassion, all of them have meant a lot to us, and more importantly to our friends in Ukraine. Thank you.
As the war in Ukraine starts into its second brutal month, SWF has decided to focus our fundraising efforts to help fund the individual first aid kits through program developed by the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers Alliance for Ukraine. We know that this group has been successful in getting the materials for first aid kits to people in Ukraine. They have staff in Ukraine that are assessing on a daily basis where they are best needed. The region they support includes all three of the Sonoma County sister cities in Ukraine: Kaniv, Cherkasy and Chyhyryn.

In addition, SWF is working on two upcoming fundraising events scheduled in April and May, where you can show your support for our friends in Ukraine. We will update you as soon as we know more, so please stay tuned.
Thank you for your continued support for our mission.
